When friends get married
7/2/2025: It is the day when my bestie, or you can say my sister from another mother, got married.
Before starting from the beginning, let me first take you to my flashback days. Back then, when we first met.
So, we met in school in KG. Yes! Our friendship is this long. Can’t believe, na? Ofcourse, all along this journey we had a lot of hurdles but still always ended up with each other.
We almost did everything together. Laugh, cry, fight, eat, learn, celebrate, study, and enjoy almost everything.
You won’t believe that feeling when you saw your girl in that dress with whom you spent your whole childhood. It’s just different. I just can’t express it.
As a writer, words are my only true way of expressing emotion. So on her wedding day, I tried to pour my heart onto the page.
“Remember, I used to give you greetings like this on various occasions when we were little. Well, I still am the same girl, and so is our friendship. I know, during all these years we encountered so many ups and downs, but see, today I am here with you on your most special day. It’s all because of you, because you know better how to keep your close ones closer. From this very day, I promise to never leave you behind and always be with you no matter what sort of chaos I will be surrounded with in my life.
Okay, now come up to the main message. This is for you, Pranshul. From the very day you both were in a relationship, I saw how many efforts Kanchi made. She did everything just to be with you. She is the only girl who will always fight for you from the whole world. I just wish from now on you would care for her more than anything and always keep her closer to you. You're the luckiest man; remember that. You know what? I knew that one day you both would get married. And now it's proved right.
Anyway, I never get enough with the words. Now the last message. I had no idea what to gift you both. But then I remember the god of love. Radha and Krishna symbolize the eternal love. They're not two but one, sharing the same soul of divinity. With his blessings, I pray you both a beautiful journey together. Hope your family filled with all the love and happiness.
What is more wonderful than starting your new phase with the Valentine week? You guys are the luckiest couple. I wish you both a beautiful happily ever after. KP

With Love
Sonali”
Also, I still remember during the eve what the host said, “Saare rishte humein milte hain, bas dosti ek esa rishta hai jo hum khud chunte hain”.
That really hit me, yaar.
Anyway, I’m so happy. Bless my girl. My love birds. And me too. ;)
PS: My lovebirds moved to Noida, where I live, so we used to hang out whenever we had free time.
